I love lavender and all of the grace and calmness that it can invoke. A few summers ago I decided to move my daily yoga practice outside by my garden, whenever Mother Nature gave me the ok. I am so grateful for those extra peaceful summer days! It just feels so natural. I quickly found myself longing for more and more lavender! Over the past few summers the purple herb has plentifield and I absolutely LOVE it!!

Some of my favorite memories are traveling through Europe with my aunt! We visited Burano in the Spring of 2002, and I can still see the vibrant colors, and water canals. My sketchbook is still providing me with artistic inspiration 20 years later!

Weed or Wish

They say that life is all about perspective... Take the dandylion for example. Some see a pesky weed invading our beautiful lawn, others revert right back to childhood and see a wish just waiting to be made. If we think back hard enough, I'm sure that we can all remember a time when we were enchanted by the dandelion's beautiful and fragile puff. I can still feel the sun on my face as I ran around my childhood yard making wishes on these incredibly enchanting weeds!

Throughout this amazing journey of life we all experience a dark storm now and again...some more significant than others, non the less when the sky goes dark and the waves overwhelm us, we can only hope for that single glimmer of light to reveal itself and give way to safe harbor.

This piece is part of my Italy collection! Some of my favorite memories are traveling through Europe with my aunt! Rome was one of my favorite stops! I can still feel the Eternal City in my bones. I love those rare moments when you can just feel history watching you! The city spoke... layered with remnants of so many past ages, Rome, and the Colosseum put life and history in perspective! I felt like a small piece of an enormous story. I have turned to my sketchbook from this trip often, for artistic inspiration!
All mini- paintings are hand-painted on a 4' by 4' stretched canvas and come with a wooden display easel!
