While in Old Montreal, I visited Notre-Dame Basilica. The architectuere was magnificent, the lights were majestic and I didn't know it at the time, but the exact moments that I spent in the basilica were so trully blessed.

I wanted to capture thrill of walking down Fifth Avenue. Bright lights, taxi cabs, this truly is the city that doesn't sleep! I created several sketches and used them as insperation while painting this piece!

This was inspired by a walt through Soho. The subject looked as if she was part of the city scape. From the print on her scarf, to the way the wind carried her hair... she represented that winter day in Soho!
