Message from the Artist~
The ocean is such a mysterious place. Scientists are always discovering new species and ecosystems but so much still remains a mystery. It is this unknown quality that is so fascinating. I have painted the sea often but, in this piece, I wanted to capture the unique perspective of looking up at our world from down below the water! The calming way that the light refracts and dances through the water, the mesmerizing patterns of color, and the soft dream like glow that seems encompass everything...it transports me immediately back to childhood when best friend and I would run around the house pretending to be mermaids singing “Part of Your World”.
This original acrylic is painted on stretched canvas with wrapped edges so it does not require a frame.  It will arrive wired and ready to hang!  It will fit a standard frame, if you do choose to frame this piece!
