Message from the Artist~
Each of my butterfly paintings creates its own unique vibe! I wanted to capture the graceful femininity of a butterfly, so I juxtaposed a traditional wing with a floral one and included a shimmer of gold! The color pallet in this particular Blooming Butterfly is special. Shades of purple have always held a special place in my heart. It was my grams favorite color, and I have so many perfect memories of spending time with her when I was young. We loved coloring together, taking afternoon shopping trips with my mom, watching Weel of Fortune and guessing what color Vana would have on, and just being together. When I began choosing the different color pallets for my Blooming Butterflies, I had to create a purple one. My gram was strong and graceful, beautiful and so kind. I hope that this piece brings you strength, kindness and grace. Enjoy!
